Muslim negligence of worldly sciences

It is just reading. بطريقة اسم ربك بطريق الذكر. فإذا قلبك The second kind of reading is through dhikr. ذكر. فإذا أنا نظرت في الصفحة وقرأت باخذ علم. إذا كان بالورقة مكتوب If you look at a page and read it, you will get some knowledge. أنه في درس في جامع أبو النور قرأت علمت أنه يوجد درس صار عندي علم. For example, if I read in the advertisement that there is a lecture at Abu Nour mosque, لكن لو قرأت وجود الدرس بعيني I will learn about it. ورأيت الدرس بعيني وسمعت الدرس بأذني أيهما يعطي يقين علمي أكثر طريقة الورقة But what makes me more certain is seeing the lecture with my eyes and hearing it with my ears. أم طريقة النظر بالعين والسماع بالأذن؟ الطريقة الثانية في تحقيق العلم والمعلوم The second way in receiving knowledge is by far more authentic and greater. أعظم بكثير. هكذا كانت علوم الأنبياء وهكذا علوم الأولياء Such were the sciences of the Prophets and the friends of God. وهذه هي علوم الإيمان اليقيني الذي This is what the faith of certainty is. لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله بذرة توضع في القلب. There is no God but Allah and Prophet Muhammad is His Messenger is a seed which is placed in the heart. فإذا سقيت بالذكر وتعشبت انقطعت الأعشاب حولها بترك الغفلة عن الله If it is watered with dhikr and the weeds around it are removed by abandoning heedlessness of God والاشتغال بما سواه تم الاشتغال كله التربة والغذاء كله للبذرة البذرة شلون بتطلع هي؟ and preoccupation with other than Him and by nurturing this seed, it will grow strongly. بتطلع بقوة. وإذا طلع حشيش كثير يمكن يقتلها وما تطلع. But if there are a lot of weeds around it, they may kill it and it may not grow. لذلك العلم علم الصحابة ما قرأوا ولا كتبوا وصفهم النبي بالعلماء. Although most of the companions of the Prophet were unlettered, the Prophet described them as 'scholars.' فعلم القلب علم يقيني يقتضي العمل لأنه يكون The knowledge of the heart is that of certainty which leads to action بطريق المشاهدة. يرى الجنة يرى النار. يتراءى له أنوار الله إلخ. because it comes through seeing. Whoever gets it can see Paradise, Hellfire and God's lights. فالكلمة الأولى اقرأ لكن من طريق اسم ربك وجعله الطريقة الأولى للعلم. The first word 'read' refers to the first way to get knowledge which is in the name of God. بعدين قال الطريقة الثانية ”اقرأ وربك الأكرم الذي علم بالقلم” The second way is to "read and your Lord is the most generous Who taught by the Pen", هذه الطريقة الثانية. هذه الطريقة. أما الأولى الممتازة الأولانية. أما الإسلام as the verse reads. This way is less authentic. The Quran mentions both ways. ذكر الاثنين. إذا بدنا نجمع بين بالقراءة في الكتاب وبين القراءة من طريق القلب So we have to combine reading in the Book and reading via the heart through doing constant dhikr. بدوام الذكر. بعدين لتأكيد العلم الورقي السورة الثانية To affirm the importance of obtaining knowledge from paper, there is a chapter in the Quran كانت ”نون والقلم وما يسطرون” حلف بنون الدواية Which is the Chapter of "The Pen" in which God says: "Nun. By the Pen and what they write." الدواية والقلم والكتابة جعلها الله قسما ويمينا حلف بها وقدسها God swears by the inkwell and makes it sacred. It means look after it. أن اعتنوا بالقلم. شو معنى اعتنوا بالقلم؟ يعني ضعه في Does it mean to put it in your nose? Or use it as a crown? مخارك؟ ضعه تاج؟ يعني استعمله. ونون شو معنى No. It means use it for writing. What does 'inkwell' mean? نون الدواية؟ يعني كبها على بدلتك؟ يعني اكتب Does it mean to spill it on your suit? No. It means use it for writing. فيها. فدين أول كلمة تبدأ باقرأ والثانية بالدواية A religion that starts with the word 'read' and has another chapter which starts with 'inkwell', والقلم والكتابة. المسلمين يا ابني في القرون الماضبة pen and writing proves that Islam glorifies knowledge. الوسطى هكذا كانوا؟ جمدوا على علوم محدودة؟ العبادات والمعاملات Muslims in ages of stagnation restricted sciences to acts of worship and transactions only. وتركوا علوم الحياة علوم ربنا آتنا في الدنيا حسنة؟ They neglected worldly sciences referred to in the verse: "Our Lord! Give us good in this world."
