Thrums BC, May,2026. Kootenay river valley

Checking out the other side of the Kootenay River, above Skateboo reach towards the Mcphee creek valley. Our own Jurrasic park. When growing up, I always wanted to see the what the “white” rock looking thing was. Binoculars were the only way which didn’t give all that much detail up until now. Observing the cliffs, you can clearly see large cracks . One section shows large fissures which looks like the possibility of naturally developed “caves” or could it be a mine? Who knows? Needs further investigation. Looking at the McPhee creek valley, not realizing exactly how steep and vast the valley really is. The benches of untouched trees are incredible. Enjoy
