History of the Sea To Sky Highway
The Sea to Sky Highway is one of British Columbia’s most scenic and iconic routes, winding along the steep coastline between Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. Officially part of Highway 99, it follows the edge of Howe Sound before climbing into the Coast Mountains, linking coastal communities, recreation areas, and some of the province’s most famous tourist destinations.
