Solo Exploring An Arkansas Farmstead and Old Cemetery

If you follow this Arkansas mountain road it'll bring you to the Parker-Hickman Farmstead. Its part of the Buffalo National River system. Free to visit and explore. Please respect our history. At the entrance/parking area is the remains of old animal feeders, and what im assuming are cattle gates in the ground, part of the original driveway perhaps? You'll also notice a sign that explain a little more about the property. We walked past the front gate and into the house. You can even go into the stuffy upstairs. After exploring the house we headed to the back yard and looked at the smoke house and old outhouse. The boys got a quick refreshing drink in the crick that runs in the middle of the property and then we explored the other barns. Chicken coop was first, you can still see the roost they sat. After that we looked at the animal barn that was being held together by cables. Finally the last building that also housed animals and I assume a hay loft. When we were done exploring the property we took the trail behind the Chick en coop and followed it to a little cave/rock shelter. Continue further down the trail and you'll come to an old cemetery where the Parkers', Hickmans' and other locals lay to rest. On the way back to the farmstead we found a little spot that overlooked the Buffalo National River. Thanks so much for watching. I hope you all have a beautiful day!
