Gestore Password Microsoft Edge: Come mettere al sicuro le tue chiavi! 🔐💻
Browsing the web today means managing dozens, if not hundreds, of different accounts: from social networks to e-commerce sites, to online banking services. Often, out of laziness, we fall into the trap of always using the same password or writing it down on loose pieces of paper, putting our digital security at risk. Fortunately, there's no need to install complicated external programs: Microsoft Edge includes a powerful, completely free tool. In this video, I'll show you firsthand, step by step, how to configure and take full advantage of all the settings in Microsoft Edge's Password Manager. Together, we'll look at how to secure your passwords, how to enable alerts in the event of a data breach, and how to simplify your life with autofill. Part 1: Where is Password Manager and How to Enable It We'll start with the basics, opening the browser's secret control panel to understand where Microsoft stores our sensitive data: Access Settings: Click on the three dots in the top right of Microsoft Edge and select Settings. From there, go directly to the Profiles section and then Passwords. Activate Auto-Save: I'll show you how to enable the crucial "Offer to save passwords" checkbox. This way, every time you enter a new password on a site, Edge will ask you with a small pop-up if you want to save it for future use. Part 2: Managing and Viewing Saved Credentials Once you understand how to save passwords, we'll see how to manage them like a pro within the database: View a hidden password: By default, passwords are hidden by a row of black dots. I'll show you how to click the eye icon and how the system will ask you, for security reasons, for your Windows unlock PIN or password before displaying it. Part 3: Advanced Security – Password Generator and Breach Monitoring The real added value of this tool lies in its active protection features, which will radically transform your online security: The automatic secure password generator: When you register on a new site, Edge can create a complex, very long, and unguessable password for you (composed of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols). I'll show you how to activate it and how Edge will instantly memorize it without you having to remember it by heart. Security Monitoring (Password Monitor): This is the most important feature. I'll show you how to enable automatic checks that scan the dark web: if one of your passwords is involved in a data breach on a popular site, Edge will immediately notify you, prompting you to change it to prevent attackers from accessing your profiles. Do you already rely on the browser's built-in password manager, or do you still prefer to write them down by hand in a notebook or use an external application?
