Windows 11 Tutorial: Account, Gruppo Family, backup e passkey Spiegati facile 📖✅
It's easy to get lost in the chaos of Windows 11 settings, especially when it comes to accounts, security, and saving your sensitive data. We often come across labels that seem to be there to confuse us, like "Microsoft Account," "Family Group," or the new magic word of the moment: "Passkey." In this video, I want to take you by the hand and guide you directly into the Windows 11 Settings menu to clarify these tools once and for all. We'll see together how to best configure everything to protect your data, how to manage security without going crazy with passwords, and, since maximum transparency is essential to a good job, I'll also explain how to manage backups with Google and OneDrive, clearly explaining why I'm not crazy about the latter and which alternatives I prefer. We'll open Settings together (by pressing the Windows + I shortcut) and go to the Accounts section. There, I'll show you how to add a new Microsoft profile if you don't have one. What is the "Family Account" Group and How to Use It Many people see the "Family" option in the settings and ignore it, thinking it's useless. In reality, it's a formidable protection tool: Secure Sharing: I'll explain what the Microsoft Family Group is. It's a protected digital ecosystem that allows you to connect your children's or loved ones' accounts to yours. Control and Protection: We'll see how this option allows you to set time limits on PC use for younger children, block dangerous websites, approve or deny app downloads, and even share subscriptions or purchased apps, while maintaining the privacy of each group member. The Truth About Backups (Why I Don't Like It) This is a crucial point where I want to be completely honest with you. Keeping important photos and documents safe is essential, but it must be done the right way. Integrated Backup with OneDrive: I'll show you how Windows 11 is almost aggressively pushing the activation of automatic backup on OneDrive. I'll show you where this option is, but I'll also explain why I don't like it: the free space runs out quickly, it risks creating confusion by moving your local folders (like Documents and Pictures) to the cloud without your knowledge, and, if you're not careful, it can block email syncing. Say Goodbye to Passwords – How to Enter and Use a Passkey We'll conclude the video with the latest cybersecurity technology, accessible directly from your account settings: What are Passkeys? I'll give you a simple explanation of this new system that's replacing old passwords. A passkey is a secure digital key that can't be intercepted by phishing or forgotten. We'll go to the Sign-in Options section and then to Passkeys. I'll show you how to register a passkey on your PC using Windows Hello (i.e., your computer's PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition). From then on, to access compatible websites (like Google, Amazon, or eBay), you'll no longer have to type long passwords; a simple touch or glance will suffice, just like you do to unlock your smartphone. Do you already use Passkeys to access your favorite sites, or do you still prefer the old method of writing passwords in a notebook? And how do you feel about automatic backups? Are you a OneDrive fan, or do you prefer alternative solutions?
