Refugees remain camped outside Home Affairs in Durban

Foreign nationals continue to camp on the pavements outside the Department of Home Affairs' Refugee Reception Office on Che Guevara Road in Durban, after fleeing their communities amid anti-immigration protests. Many say they fear returning to the areas they left, and are now appealing to the eThekwini Municipality and government to provide temporary shelter, protection and humanitarian assistance while a long-term solution is found.
