Dara Ó Briain hates Guinness but loves THIS Irish sauce!

This week on Dish, Nick and Angela are pulling out all the stops for one of comedy’s sharpest minds, Dara Ó Briain. With degrees in maths and theoretical physics and a career that began in children’s TV, Dara has been wowing audiences with his quick wit for over 30 years. But it was his 17-year stint as the long-standing host of the iconic BBC2 panel show Mock the Week that truly cemented his place as a household name in the comedy world. His TV credits equally don’t stop there. Dara has hosted a string of fantastic shows, including Stargazing Live, Robot Wars, and the Comedy Central reboot of Blockbusters. But right now, he’s pouring his energy into his latest stand-up tour, Re:Creation, where he’s performing across the UK and Ireland, sharing his journey on the search for his biological father. With an extensive list of food likes, Angela had the pick of the bunch when deciding what to cook for this laughter-filled episode. She settles on a warming Chicken karahi, by Ravneet Gill, paired with a smooth glass of Paolo Leo Varietali Primitivo Puglia. With a schedule as busy as Dara’s, we couldn’t let him leave without a little something extra to fuel him. So, the trio finish off the meal with Profiteroles, adapted from Martha Collison’s recipe for the best éclairs.
