【東京の酷道・和田峠を越える】スーパーカブで陣馬街道を走る！八王子から屈指の酷道で相模原へ｜スーパーカブC125【モトブログ Vol.139】

[Date Filmed: July 4, 2026] Due to being busy with my main job in May and June, I wasn't able to go for many rides on my Cub, so I couldn't film any videos. Finally, last Saturday, when the rainy season weather cleared up a bit, I went for a ride in my neighborhood. My destination was the Jinba Kaido, which passes through the Wada Pass connecting Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture. I usually take Kanagawa Prefectural Road 572 from Yuzuhara on my way back from Hinohara Village or Kosuge, passing the fork to the Jinba Kaido. However, I usually continue on to Fujino and take National Route 20, crossing the Otaru Pass to get home, so I had never ridden the Jinba Kaido before. Therefore, on a cloudy weekend during a break in the rainy season, I crossed the Wada Pass from the Hachioji side to Sanogawa. Along the way, I enjoyed some delicious soba noodles at "Jinba Soba Yamashita-ya," a soba restaurant below Jinba Plateau. The climb to Wada Pass was much steeper than I expected. Apparently, there are sections with gradients exceeding 20 degrees. I was quite surprised. I stopped for a cup of coffee at the teahouse at the pass. Then I descended towards Sanogawa, and in Sanogawa, which is selected as one of "Japan's 100 Most Beautiful Villages," I visited tea plantations built on the mountainside. Furthermore, since I had some time, I visited the Guntori Shrine in Yuzuhara, Uenohara City, Yamanashi Prefecture, a place I'd wanted to visit for a long time. From there, I went to Fujino, bought souvenirs, had an iced coffee at a cafe in front of the station, and on the way back, crossed Makiba Pass to reach the Doshi Road.
