Close-quarters combat, urban warfare or simply street fighting − the art of conducting combat in cities and urban areas have a notorious history, from battlegrounds like Stalingrad, Grozny, Fallujah and Hue. In Ukraine the fighting in Mariupol and Azovstal can now be added to that list. Per Wallin, former Swedish soldier and Afghanistan veteran, gives us some insight into what it takes to fight an enemy that can be waiting in the room next door.
