Storms, Heat And Miles #87

Good morning from the road! In today's trucking vlog, we hit the road at 3:30 AM with a fresh coffee in hand and 450 miles (734 km) to cover before an early afternoon delivery in Eustis, Florida. The day starts before sunrise at a busy Love's Travel Stop, where we navigate through packed parking lots and roll south down I-75. Along the way, we pass trucks that learned the hard way why parking on off-ramps isn't a good idea, dodge some rain, and make steady progress toward our Florida destination. After a quick 30-minute break at a rest area, we finish the final stretch and successfully deliver the load. But the workday isn't over yet. With another pickup waiting in South Carolina, we begin heading north toward Jacksonville before making a strategic decision to stop early in St. Augustine. Florida's summer heat is no joke either. Temperatures climb to 34°C (93°F) with a heat index reaching 44°C (111°F), making even simple tasks outside the truck exhausting. Between the humidity, distant thunderstorms, and long miles, it's a classic day of trucking through the Sunshine State. The day wraps up with plans for a hot shower, some laundry, homemade chili from home, and preparing for the next leg of the journey before a weekend reset.
