A total of 4,132 joint police personnel from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya), the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polres Metro Jakarta), and related police stations were deployed to secure the demonstration in Central Jakarta on Friday (July 17th). Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Public Relations Chief, First Inspector Erlyn Sumantri, stated that the demonstration would be organized by the Banten Bangkit Activist Coalition and several other mass organizations. "Security for the demonstration will be provided by the People's Struggle Council Alliance (University of Jakarta, Trilogi University, STIAMI Institute, and Paramadina University) in the National Monument (Monas) area, with the planned start at 1:00 PM Western Indonesian Time," Sumantri said in a written statement, as quoted by Antara. In addition, officers will be deployed at several locations to anticipate further demonstrations. Officers will implement traffic management at the demonstration location based on the situation, taking into account the number of people on the ground.
