A Week Fishing in Alaska (Full Film)

We packed the van, loaded up the gear, and pointed the compass North. This isn't your typical guided highlight reel, this is a raw, self filmed, 8 day gauntlet through the heart of Alaska. From fighting the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds of "Combat Fishing" on the Kenai for sockeye, to pushing into the deep ocean waters for giant halibut, lingcod, and ancient yelloweye rockfish, we pushed ourselves to the limit. But Alaska doesn't hand out free meals. Along the way, we faced the brutal reality of a declining King Salmon fishery on the roaring glacial waters of the Klutina River, battled severe sleep deprivation, and relied on local knowledge to find fish where the old timers said the heyday was long gone. THE CHECKS ON THE LIST (9 Species Mission): Sockeye Salmon – Surviving the Kenai River combat rotation. Coho (Silver) Salmon – High-octane ocean trolling and aerial acrobatics. Chinook (King) Salmon – A high-stakes battle in the glacial torrent of the Klutina. Pacific Halibut – Hunting for deep-water "Barn Doors" in a changing fishery. Lingcod – Going toe-to-toe with the prehistoric reef dragons of the Sound. Yelloweye Rockfish – Securing a rare, 100-year-old deep-water treasure. (Plus the rest of the 9-species gauntlet revealed in the film!)
