Alan's Day - Part 2 - 67 Pontiac revival - "Fuel Pump to Oil Line" Critical UPGRADE, the Oil line.
🔥 1967 Pontiac A-Body Revival Part 2 – Critical “Fuel Pump to Oil Line” UPGRADE! In this episode of Alan’s Day we finally wake up the 1967 Pontiac after sitting for 6 years. We install the correct fuel pump with the vent line (the proper one for AC cars and big-block Pontiacs), replace crusty fuel lines, and tackle the most important safety upgrade on any classic car: ditching the dangerous plastic oil pressure line before it blows up your engine or starts a fire. We go one step further and slide a red 1/4" OD DOT air line over the new 1/8" copper line for extra kink protection and to keep it from accidentally becoming a ground path. This is a critical upgrade — not optional if you actually plan to drive and enjoy the car. While we’re at it we continue the full wiring overhaul with proper key-on and live 12V fuse blocks, add a convenient USB-C + voltage gauge port up front, recommend the one-wire alternator swap, and label everything so the next guy (or future you) isn’t guessing. Watch the successful first start, then the next morning we finish the protected copper oil line install with brass fittings and provisions for an electric sending unit. This Southern California survivor is rust-free and turning into a reliable daily driver — smart upgrades, not a full Concours resto. Future episodes in the series: valve adjustment, oil change, Pontiac engine upgrades, A-body frame boxing & stiffening, custom hitch fabrication for 1964–1967 A-bodies, fuel tank guard, complete wiring overhaul, and more Folkman Inc fabricated parts! What would you do first on a 67 Pontiac? Survivor driver or full resto?
