In this urban explore we visit a Chapel Schoolhouse in rural West Wales and find some real history.

Blaen-Wenen (or Blaenwern) Baptist Chapel, located near Pantgwyn, was established in the mid-19th century in Cardiganshire. The schoolroom where we visited in the vlog was built on the site in 1828, followed by the main chapel building in 1838, which was later renovated in 1938. The chapel is known for its simple, round-headed, long-wall entry style. The chapel is situated near Pantgwyn, a hamlet in the Cardiganshire area (historically Llandysul parish vicinity). The cause began with a schoolroom constructed in 1828, with the current chapel building erected in 1838. The structure is identified by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW) as a "Simple Round-Headed" style of the "long-wall entry" type. The buildings underwent renovation in 1938 which is the date on the Schoolhouse. This area has a rich history of Nonconformist Baptist traditions. #westwales #abandoned #urbanexploration #aberteifi #urbanexplorer #urbanexploring
