International Year of the Farmer 2026 - Women Farmers in Portrait - Diversity, Visions, Responsibility Sarah Premstaller from the Unterweisshof farm in the Sarntal Valley - Between Responsibility and Freedom - What Drives Women Farmers Today Sarah Premstaller lives with her family on the Unterweisshof farm in the Sarntal Valley, which she took over in 2022. Even as a teenager, she wanted to be a farmer and pursued a wide range of training – from veterinary assistant to pedagogy. Today, the farm is an Ark Farm and a certified teaching farm. In the video, Sarah talks about how the role of the farmer has changed, what new tasks modern women farmers have to take on, and why she wants to encourage other women to follow their path on the farm.
