Building My Own Handheld Retro Game Console!

I’m building my own handheld retro gaming console using the Raspberry Pi Pico 2! In this video, I show how to create a DIY Game Boy-style handheld on a breadboard using simple components, custom wiring, and Arduino IDE programming. The console is capable of running original Game Boy games at up to 60 FPS, but we discovered a major limitation: the Pico 2’s 4MB flash memory isn't enough for larger titles such as Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Super Mario Deluxe. For the next episode, I’ll be upgrading to a Raspberry Pi Pico 16MB flash board and adding a MAX98357A I2S amplifier for proper audio support.
