BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's Carstairs Junction Station on 22nd May 1990 Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Carstairs Junction taken on 22/05/1990. A very early start for this one as I wanted to capture the sleeper services heading north. The sheer peacefulness of this rural location was disturbed by the freight that rushed through in both directions. Not so many sleeper services run through this idealic junction nowadays. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
