Actions For Nature – Ireland’s 4th National Biodiversity Action Plan
‘Actions For Nature’ is Ireland’s fourth National Biodiversity Action Plan. It was launched on January 25th 2024 with the aim of protecting and restoring nature across the country. It is the first biodiversity action plan to be backed by legislation, with legal requirements for public bodies, and its actions include expanding National Parks, tackling invasive species, strengthening efforts on wildlife crime, and working with communities. It also addresses key recommendations from the Citizen’s Assembly on Biodiversity Loss.
