Kilcare Beach walk #bushwalking Central Coast

After a break of a few weeks we decide it’s time to recommence our weekly bush walks. Due to other commitments we set off for our beach/bush walk a bit later than normal. The late start however didn’t stop us from enjoying a morning coffee at the Kilcare Surf club. The sky looked a bit threatening with dark clouds out to sea heading towards us, however we do have our trusty wet weather gear with us. There had been a huge change in the weather from the day before which was sunny and 30C . Today it was a cooler 17C much better for walking even though it might rain. Our walk started along the picturesque Kilcare Beach, one of many excellent surfing beaches on the Central Coast. As we progress we discuss where the boundary of Kilcare and Putty beach might be, it doesn’t appear to be immediately obvious. At the end of the beach walk we reach a wooden staircase which ascends up a cliff. Soon we come across an interesting geological formation, a tessellated pavement which is absolutely fascinating. Next we descend another wooden staircase down to Bullimah Beach. We have the privilege to have this beach to ourselves and decide it’s the perfect spot for morning tea. After this we head back. It wasn’t a long walk and we’ve walked this way many times before, but it never fails to impress and never disappoints. We look forward to many more walks this year.
