FE8: Team Grado Journey (Duessel, Knoll & Cormag)

With the addition of Cormag in Heroes, I guess this is the right time to upload this. I want Duessel and Knoll too. --------- Cormag: When it comes to stats, Cormag had a slight disadvantage compared to his FE6/7 counterparts as he is the only wyvern rider without hard mode bonuses. However, in terms of performance, Cormag is actually better than said units because FE8 enemies being really weak. As a Wyvern Knight, Cormag will be able to use pierce with a chance based on his current level. RNG-oriented. As a Wyvern Lord, he will be able to use swords along with lances, giving him more versatility when it comes to combat. Sacrificing RNG skills for certainty. Regardless of promotion, Cormag's decent Str growth allows him to cap his Str even if he promotes at level 10, so Wyvern Lord could be a "slightly better" choice with the higher Str cap, so it doesn't hurt as much when you lose out a few points of Str just because you reach it too early. Maybe it's just my OCD. --------- Duessel: The general on a horse. No kidding, just take a look at his base 17 DEF. He is your perfect meatshield to train the frail trainees in the Tower of Valni. Even with his decent bases, along with his triple A weapon ranks, his growths are, sadly, not that good. With his late recruitment, it is not advisable to use him for long term purposes, it is much better to have him train your end-game units instead. --------- Knoll: He is the result due to a certain weapon in FE7. Luna is so broken in FE7 that IS nerfed not only the weapon, but the characters who can wield it. Knoll is a solid example. Druid: Dark users who are able to wield Anima. Summoners: Able to create minions for baiting purposes. Lower caps. Even an end-game Knoll couldn't cap anything except for Mag as a Summoner, and that's when Summoners aren't supposed to be good combat units anyway. Also, a 20/20 Knoll actually had single digit stats for Luk and Def, that's really something to consider. Even the Sacred Twin Gleipnir couldn't redeem any value for Knoll. Here, the RNG-abused Knoll, capping Mag/Spd, could only do 9 damage, while Fomortiis doubles him on retaliation. Can you imagine what he is like without any RNG abuse? If I were to create a tier list on shamans, he will be standing next to Sophia. ------------- Fun Fact: Duessel actually had the highest overall growth rates out of the 3 characters in this video.
