SIV na Advance Theta ULS

I’ve just finished my first SIV course. Thanks to my clumsiness, I even had the chance to deal with a big cravat using a full stall… Still, I was flying around like a rag doll, so a repeat is definitely needed. I’m glad I got to fully test how the wing I’ll actually be flying behaves, even though I originally planned to do the course on the Pluto. The Theta is an ultralight, and the manufacturer doesn’t recommend doing SIVs on it. My observations: on the Pluto (EN-A), it’s physically really hard to keep one side collapsed. On the Theta, that part is no problem. On the Theta I struggled to hold a full stall in a stable way. Either I was overbraking too much, or when I tried to let it out a little, the Theta always shot forward with a lot of energy and ripped my hands up. Šnajby didn’t believe me when I said I wasn’t strong enough to hold it. 😂 Wing: Advance Theta ULS 25 Location: Lago Idro 🇮🇹 Date: 26–30 Aug 2025
