FLARE Bandit 19 vs FLARE Moustache 18 | Wing Comparison Same day. Same site. Same conditions. Two very different wings. Here’s how the FLARE Bandit 19 and Moustache 18 compare when flown back to back. I had a session last week flying both the Bandit 19 and the Moustache 18. I wanted to compare how they behave toward the upper end of their wind range. Flying them back-to-back on a small, flat site with plenty of features really highlighted their individual strengths. I’m starting to get to know the Bandit and I’m really enjoying what it has to offer. That said, I still love flying the Moustache. I’m coming to realise that each wing has its own time and place, I don’t think one wing satisfies me in every situation. They all have their strengths and tend to shine under different conditions. My aim with this video was to create a comparison with a bit of commentary from my side, but more importantly to tell a visual story of what each wing is doing, so you can make up your own mind. We’re all different, and we all enjoy different styles of flying. I also have another comparison video coming up where I flew the Bandit 19 alongside the Moustache 18 and 22 on the dunes. That one’s on the way, but this session had better flying, so it jumped the queue.
