2027 BMW 7 Series & i7 Facelift: The Designer Explains Every Change

BMW just revealed the 2027 7 Series and i7 facelift in Munich — and this one goes way beyond a typical LCI. We sat down with BMW designer Jose Casas and product manager Max Huber to get the full story on every exterior, interior, and tech change. The i7 now packs Gen 6 round-cell batteries co-developed with Rimac, pushing WLTP range past 700 km with 250 kW DC charging — 10 to 80% in just 28 minutes. The interior is completely new: iDrive X, Panoramic Vision, a standard passenger screen, and a new rotary cylinder controller replace the old setup entirely. On the outside, sharper kidneys, crystal headlights, new tail lamps, and a dual-finish two-tone paint that takes over three days to apply. This is the most significant mid-cycle update BMW has done in years. 0:00 Introduction 0:37 Exterior Design Walkthrough 1:06 Front End & Kidney Grille 2:06 Width & Dynamic Presence 4:38 New Crystal Headlights 5:48 Hood & Bonnet Lines 7:16 Dual-Tone Paint & Side Profile 9:40 Rear End & Tail Lamps 12:04 Brand-New Interior 13:15 Steering Wheel & Controls 14:35 Rear Seat & Theater Screen 15:43 Models & Powertrain Options 16:37 Range & Gen 6 Battery 17:32 Charging Speed 18:03 Colors & Paint Options 18:37 Wheel Options 19:12 Standard Features 20:07 Interior Materials 23:57 Rear Entertainment & Dolby Atmos 26:29 Driver Assistance Systems 27:04 Wrap-Up Please Subscribe and help us reach 300K 👉http://bit.ly/bmwblog_subscribe Learn more about the xProtect Immobilizer: https://www.xautomotive.com/products/...
