All New 2027 BMW X5 and iX5 - PRODUCTION Line in USA

Production of the new 2027 BMW X5 at BMW Plant Spartanburg marks a major step for BMW’s U.S. manufacturing strategy, with five drivetrain options and future electric BMW X models. BMW is preparing BMW Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina for one of its most important production milestones yet: the new 2027 BMW X5. As the global home of BMW X models, the Spartanburg plant will play a central role in building the next generation of BMW’s best-known luxury SUV. The new BMW X5 will be produced with a wide range of drivetrain options, including combustion engine, plug-in hybrid, battery electric, diesel, and future hydrogen fuel cell technology. This makes Plant Spartanburg the first BMW facility capable of assembling one model with five different drivetrain technologies on a single production line. The production launch comes after BMW Group completed a $1.7 billion investment in its South Carolina operations. The investment includes the expansion of Plant Spartanburg and the construction of Plant Woodruff, which will support high-voltage battery assembly for future electric BMW models. A major part of the strategy is the upcoming BMW iX5, which will become the first fully electric BMW assembled in the United States. Production is scheduled to begin in Spartanburg in late 2026, strengthening South Carolina’s role in BMW’s electric vehicle future. With the 2027 BMW X5, BMW is positioning Plant Spartanburg as a flexible, future-ready production hub. The plant will continue building premium BMW X models for the U.S. market and global export while supporting BMW’s transition toward electrification and advanced manufacturing. #bmw #x5 #production #recanything #recn
