NC State Highway Patrol Launches Operation Stop Arm
NC State Highway Patrol Commander Glenn McNeill announced the start of Operation Stop Arm Week at the state fairgrounds today. Law enforcement across the state will be focusing on motorists passing stopped school buses. This is the week that school bus drivers make a count of stop arm violations. Dr. Lynn Harvey of NC Department of Public Instruction and Erick Edwards of WCPSS Transportation talked about the importance of keeping an eye out for children at bus stops and stopping for a school bus with flashing red lights.
