ASSAM RIFLES SAMMAN SAMAROH FOR RETIREES (JUNE 2026)

Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General Assam Rifles, felicitated retiring personnel during a solemn and heartwarming Samman Samaroh held at Headquarters DGAR, Laitkor, Shillong. The ceremony honoured 62 JCOs, 74 ORs and one Civil Staff member who are set to superannuate on 30 June 2026, recognising their decades of dedicated, distinguished and selfless service to the nation. The event was made even more memorable by the presence of 103 family members who had travelled from different parts of the country to share this proud milestone with their loved ones. Addressing the gathering, the Director General Assam Rifles conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering commitment, exemplary professionalism and immense sacrifices of the retiring personnel.
