Micro-Con, Thrifting and Antiques at Forest City, North Carolina.

The highlight of the trip was definitely the first-ever Micro-Con. It had such a cool, grassroots vibe, especially since it was held outdoors right at the old mall. It was great to just walk around, soak up the energy, and chat with fellow collectors under the open sky. ​The thrifting and antiquing were just as memorable because of the settings. I found a great thrift store tucked away inside an old bank right in the mall parking lot—it's not every day you get to hunt for deals in a former vault!
