RENIEC ALCANZA COBERTURA DEL 99.2% DE PERUANOS IDENTIFICADOS EN EL PADRÓN ELECTORAL
The institution highlights the deployment of mobile campaigns in remote areas and emphasizes the importance of keeping personal data and death certificates up to date. RENIEC reported that more than 37.1 million Peruvians currently have their National Identity Document (DNI) and birth certificate, representing a historic coverage of 99.2% of the country's population. During an information session focused on the upcoming Regional and Municipal Elections, authorities from the agency emphasized that this progress has been possible thanks to the deployment of offices and mobile campaigns in native communities and border or hard-to-reach areas, offering free services to people in vulnerable situations, living in extreme poverty, or with disabilities.
