Un piloto es un soldado de élite y operador de un Titán, poseen habilidades y equipos superiores en comparación con el Grunt estándar. Los jugadores toman el papel de Pilotos en Titanfall y Titanfall 2, luchando como un agente del IMC, la milicia o uno de los muchos mercenarios que buscan fama y fortuna luchando en la Guerra de la Frontera. Se les considera las fuerzas más efectivas y temibles en el campo de batalla, un estado que solo es aumentado por sus Titanes.
