In the end, Shane was charged with being over the bag limit of black drum and two counts of possession or harvest of undersized black drum. He pled no contest and his adjudication was withheld. He was ordered to pay $1,245 which was paid over the course of one year. Alfred was initially charged with being in possession of undersized mangrove snapper and possession or harvest of undersized black drum. As part of a negotiated plea deal, he pled no contest to the snapper charge and was ordered to pay $470 in costs and fines which were paid shortly after.
