Police Surprise Serial Dine & Dash Couple Minutes After Skipping $400 Restaurant Bill

Monroe County, FL - on May 26th 2025, Monroe County sheriffs responded to at least two different restaurants, after receiving reports of a couple that had left without paying their bill. The couple allegedly had multiple bottles of wine and full meals resulting in close to a $400 tab at one restaurant, and almost $250 at another. After deputies review surveillance footage, they quickly track down the vehicle the couple were driving. Dana Efimenko, 24, and Roman Romanov, 32, were both arrested and charged with one count of swindle to defraud an operator of food or lodging.
