We are Anna & Kathi = AnKa's Horses Our adventure began 4 1/2 years ago when we bought the young Hucul gelding Chilli, as complete beginners. Of course, handling the horses wasn't always easy for us, which is why you'll see many beginner mistakes in the videos, from which we've already learned a lot. But mistakes and problems are part of it – life isn't a pony farm... We're far from being horse experts, but we've already learned a great deal from and with our horses in this short time. Especially with our pony Chipsy, whom we brought home three years ago. This pony initially challenged us quite a bit – and even overwhelmed us – but we managed, and Chipsy has become a wonderful, sweet pony. Previously, we cared for our two ponies and one or two other boarders as best and as economically as possible in a shared stable. However, this changed in the spring of 2021 when our young Hucul gelding, Bacardi, joined us, and all the boarders left due to some issues. Now, we care for our harmonious herd on our own, and finally, peace has returned to our stable, and everything is running smoothly. A few capable stable hands are usually around, helping us with everything at the stable. Since we built our own self-sufficient open stable three and a half years ago, you can also see the daily tasks involved in running our stable. Feeding and mucking out are just a small part of the year-round work involved in managing a horse stable. ...
