NITORI Air Conditioner Outdoor Unit NL-22G-UT Fan Operation and Inside the Unit
I removed the top cover and front panel of the outdoor unit for Nitori’s “ECO DE RAKU Air Conditioner” (model NL-22G-UT) and recorded the fan in operation as well as the interior of the unit. This unit meets the new energy efficiency standards for fiscal year 2027, and one of the likely factors contributing to this is its high-density heat exchanger and large blower fan. The copper tubes used in the heat exchanger have a diameter of 5 mm (compared to the more common 7 mm), and they are arranged in a two-row configuration, resulting in an extremely high-density design. This is my first time handling a Standard Class unit that meets the new energy efficiency standards, and I didn’t expect the heat exchanger to be this densely packed. (I’d also like to see Standard Class units from other manufacturers and Japanese manufacturers that meet the new energy efficiency standards...) The blower fan also gives the impression of being very large relative to the unit’s size; a 442mm-diameter fan was installed in a 551mm-tall unit. The fact that the fan is large doesn’t mean its RPM is low, so it’s clear that the design is intended to maximize airflow through the heat exchanger.
