Flying into Class C Airspace | Part 1
Part 1 of this series shows how to fly into Class C airspace. Part 2 coming out soon! When entering Class C airspace, pilots undergo a structured process to ensure safety and communication efficiency. This involves obtaining up-to-date weather and airport information through the ATIS system. Pilots then establish contact with Approach, anticipating frequency changes as they progress. Descending under ATC guidance, they switch to the Tower frequency closer to the airport, receiving instructions for landing and navigating through traffic pattern legs—downwind, base, and final. Following ground instructions after landing, pilots complete post-landing procedures before taxiing to the designated ramp. Clear communication is key to ensuring a smooth and safe experience in Class C airspace. 🕒Timestamps 🕒 00:00 - Getting ATIS 00:23 - Overview of First Contact with Class Charlie Airspace 00:38 - Contacting Approach 01:57 - Preparing Future Frequencies 02:58 - Beginning of Descent 03:37 - Contacting Tower 04:46 - Reviewing What To Expect When Landing 05:50 - Entering Downwind Leg 07:21 - Entering Base Leg 07:50 - Entering Final Leg 09:03 - Tower Giving Ground Instruction 09:33 - Completing After Landing Procedures 09:38 - Using After Landing Checklist 10:05 - Taxiing to Ramp Click on the link below to learn about our Career Pilot Program, where we take students with zero experience and put them on the most efficient track to a professional pilot career in as little as 5.5 months: https://bit.ly/3b4HqRT 🔗Links 🔗 ☞ Follow Blue Line ☜ Facebook - https://bit.ly/3W0zdnI Instagram - https://bit.ly/3Hq4bS8 TikTok - https://bit.ly/3iTeRhS Twitter - https://bit.ly/3YfqzUh YouTube - https://bit.ly/3WbtlYU 📞Contact Us 📞 Website - www.BlueLineAviation.com Call Us - 919.578.3713
