Bread is an integral part of the Colombian diet and economy. There isn't a neighborhood, town, or village in Colombia without a bakery. Whether for a morning snack, breakfast, a mid-morning treat, or to accompany special meals, it's always present. But it's also a source of income and a business opportunity, which is why I decided to start a series of videos where we'll learn to prepare typical products from a Colombian bakery. Ingredients: Flour 500 grams Fresh yeast 10 grams Sugar 50 grams Margarine #1 (for the dough) 50 grams Salt 5 grams Margarine #2 (for spreading on the dough and folding) 40 grams Water 135 ml Milk 135 ml 1 egg for brushing or coating the bread before baking. Note 1: Brush only right before baking. Note 2: Margarine 2 is the one used to thicken the dough and create the layers in the bread. Thank you very much.
