Suzuki S-Cross turbo 2024 review: Plus FWD | New base-spec model expands Kia Seltos rival's range

The 2024 Suzuki S-Cross small SUV is now a lot more affordable thanks to the release of two new front-wheel drive (FWD) variants, which are looking to expand its appeal in a highly competitive segment, which sees the Kia Seltos, among others, in its crosshairs. The 'third-generation' model has been available in Australia since September 2022, but it's worth noting it's really a heavy facelift of the second-gen version, which is more than a decade old. Either way, the S-Cross is exclusively powered by a 103kW/220Nm 1.4-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine. In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Byron Mathioudakis gets up close and personal with the most expensive of the two new FWD variants, which is known as Plus. So, the question is, should you spend the $2500 extra to get all-wheel drive (AWD) instead? Or get a different small SUV altogether? #Suzuki #SCross #Review -- Timecodes: 00:00 Intro 01:10 Pricing and features 02:59 Design 03:48 Practicality 08:16 Under the bonnet 09:25 Efficiency 10:13 Safety 10:40 Ownership 11:02 Driving 14:23 Verdict -- Read Byron's full review: https://bit.ly/4aHrvXb Check out our Suzuki S-Cross hub: https://bit.ly/3JtGdFn Find more SUVs: https://bit.ly/3QVs1X1 Visit our UrbanGuide: https://bit.ly/3NAZFDa -- CarsGuide - Go beyond the test drive Visit our website for News, Reviews, Advice and more: https://www.carsguide.com.au Subscribe to our YouTube channel:    / carsguide   Like our Facebook page:   / carsguide.australia   Follow our Instagram profile:   / carsguideaus   Follow our TikTok profile:   / carsguide.com.au   Follow our X profile: https://www.x.com/CarsGuide Follow our LinkedIn page:   / carsguide-com-au
