The Pathless Review
In this video I discuss how The Pathless uses its movement mechanics, within the open-world structure, to make a satisfying and unique experience. I discuss how moving around open-worlds is far too often taken for granted as merely necessary, rather than an opportunity to make the game more fun. I also look in depth at game design of The Pathless and discuss some other games which adopt a similar approach. Finally I look at what game developers can take away from this - arguing that this sort of approach ought to be implemented in other games. Thank you to my Patrons for their support.
