'The Den' aka Barkip, North Ayrshire - History Insights
The local history of what was once quite a large village with a school/church, two pubs, a Police station, cinema, bowling green, a railway station nearby, etc. Once the coal mines and quarries closed the miners rows were demolished, as was the school and the village became just a group of isolated homes.
