GDMBR - Part 8 - Pie Town to Antelope Wells

The final leg of the adventure takes in Geronimo country, Lake Roberts and a final taste of luxury in Silver City. A night sleeping by the Interstate is the prelude to our final night on the trail in the community hall in Hachita. I interview my riding companions, Tom and Brian, and explain some of my kit choices before one last ride takes us to the border at Antelope Wells and it’s all over. A couple of days in El Paso gives me the opportunity to adjust to life off the bike, to take in a baseball game and to reflect on the experience of a lifetime. In the summer of 2025 I rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Banff in Canada to Antelope Wells on the US border with Mexico.
