Rhodos 2026 | Verlassener Weltkriegs-Bunker bei Prasonisi | Lost Place |4K |

A true highlight for all urban explorers and history buffs! Prasonisi, in the far south of Rhodes, is now world-famous for windsurfing and the spectacular sandbar where two seas meet. But hidden in the cliffs and mountains above the beach lies a dark secret from World War II. In this video, I'll take you inside the abandoned military bunkers and coastal fortifications near Prasonisi. 📜 The historical background: Between 1912 and 1943, Rhodes was under Italian rule. The Italians heavily fortified the island's mainland and built numerous coastal bunkers to protect themselves against landing attempts. After Mussolini's fall in September 1943, the German Wehrmacht ("Sturm-Division Rhodos") occupied the island in bloody fighting. As the southernmost point, Prasonisi was strategically crucial for controlling shipping in the Aegean Sea. The bunkers remained occupied until the German surrender in May 1945. Today, nature is slowly reclaiming the concrete ruins. Do you enjoy this historical exploration? Then please subscribe and like!
