Eating at 28 Pizza Places in 9 Days (The Final Stretch) Part 3

The final and part 3 of my 28 pizza place journey kicks off with a classic Manhattan pizza crawl. We hit up Ceres, Lucia, Famous Ben’s, L’Industrie, the original Chrissy’s, Diamond Slice — and even squeezed in a visit to John’s of Bleecker. A lot of slices… and a lot of opinions. Next, I head to New Haven. A city that’s basically pizza royalty, but it didn’t quite go to plan. Sally’s Apizza was a huge disappointment. Thankfully, BAR, Fuoco, and a late-night stop at Zuppardi’s turned things around. On Sunday, I start strong with Mano’s, which delivered one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, then circle back to Chrissy’s and end the night at Wheated in Brooklyn. Monday takes me to Red Hook for a non-pizza detour at Defonte’s, followed by Hamburger America and Brown Bag Sandwich Co. in Manhattan. To wrap things up, I link up with Anthony from Other Half Brewing and head back to L’Industrie to finish where I started. Then we wander over to Best Pizza to meet the one and only Frank Pinello. 28 pizza places. 9 days. That’s a wrap.
