Lakes MTB - Scafell Pike 'England's Highest'

A monster edit for an epic day. Not everybody's cup of tea and I get that but for an iconic ride out for 7 1/2hrs this a seems reasonable length I know the lakes quite well as you will have gathered from previous edits but around the Scafell Pike area I've always avoided due to 'don't bother', 'you can't ride any of it' type comments from others and a recent Instagram clip and Strava posting inspired me to go check it out I plotted this route the night before which was an extended option with a shorter route option which is what I ended up doing due to time and energy constraints. Main reason to start from the Langdale Valley was it's a lot easier to get to for me than Wasdale or Seathwaite so off I trotted Upon arrival it quickly became apparent I had forgotten my riding shoes so took a moment of consideration whether to go do something else or do the traditional Rossett, Styhead, Stake Pass loop. For late Sept the weather was on my side and thought there may not be another opportunity do do this before next spring so with a sharp intake of breath I was on my way 😬 What an adventure that was.... 🤙 Best viewed on a 4K TV with good internet speed although I wouldn't class this as family viewing due to the expletives here and there which unfortunately can't be helped at times 😅
