El Shincal de Quimivil La Huella Inca en Argentina

Shincal, The Inca Footprint First-Time Eyes With no aspirations other than a tourist tour, we shared our experience of the revitalized Shincal de Quimivil in Londres, Belén department. We did so with the help of a local guide, Carla Carrizo, who, from her own experience, is a native of the small town. She told us about the history of the place, but also about children's games among the bushes that hid a valuable cultural legacy, and the fables told by adults who were frightened by strange sounds from unfathomable caves. Shincal allows us a journey back in time and fuels our curiosity about its origins. We consider it important to clarify that there are hundreds of in-depth studies of the site, some still in progress; countless documentaries and cinematographic-quality audiovisuals; and research from national and international centers, with most of this material accessible online. This product is simply a matter of taking a fresh look and sharing a walk through one of the most enigmatic places in our province. The tour of the settlement lasts just over an hour. It is open year-round, and occasionally special events include mystery nights, gatherings, dances, and ceremonies shared with visitors. It is a pleasant and easy walk, but it demands all our senses. For some, including myself, a special energy begins to flow through our bodies with the first steps. El Shincal, in the town of Londres, Belén department, Catamarca province, is a must-see for those who love this land. The history is there. Feel it, seek it out.
