When to Use a 0 2mm Nozzle on the Bambu P2S

If you own a Bambu Lab P2S AMS Combo and you’ve been wondering whether a 0.2mm nozzle is worth it — this might be the real reason to use one. Most people switch to a 0.2mm nozzle for smoother layer lines and higher print quality. But in this video, I explain why I switched for something completely different: precision micro parts for my 3D printing business. I needed to design a tiny screw cap cover to hide exposed Phillips head screws on my wall mount and suction mount products. With a standard 0.4mm nozzle, the internal walls weren’t strong enough or precise enough to hold securely. Switching to a 0.2mm nozzle allowed me to: • Print ultra-thin internal walls • Improve fitment tolerances • Create tight friction-fit parts • Elevate the professional look of my product I’ll walk through: • Why 0.4mm wasn’t working • How the 0.2mm solved the problem • When it makes sense to use a 0.2mm nozzle • When it absolutely does NOT make sense If you’re building products — not just printing for fun — this is where nozzle selection becomes a business decision.
