Hello everyone, today I'm taking you to discover Titouan's farm, a young farmer who has been farming organically for less than two years in the Sarthe region, using a fully free-range livestock system. At his farm, he raises hardy Romney and Hampshire sheep, perfectly adapted to being outdoors year-round, with lambs born and raised outside. This requires a lot of expertise on a daily basis to manage their care and growth. Titouan also manages two free-range buildings for his Label Bio Loué broiler chickens and practices agroforestry with high-stem apple trees under which the chickens graze. He also produces apple juice through a short supply chain. Diversification is key to his resilience, with direct sales, a long organic supply chain, and an eco-grazing service powered by photovoltaic panels—an interesting, technical, and ecological innovation. We'll also discuss the wool industry, a major issue, as wool is currently worth less and less, but it could be used in cosmetics, particularly for its natural keratin properties—a topic worth following.
