140 vaches 🐄, une famille, une histoire : La plus belle ferme de France ?
Find the farm on Danslesbottes.fr: https://danslesbottes.fr/vente/magasi... Vote: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA... Today, I'm taking you to Brittany to visit Aurore and Hervé, the 5th generation, at the "Jeanne & Jean" farm. Hervé has automated the milking process with three robots to combine performance, ease of work, and animal welfare. We'll look at the farm's setup: 140 dairy cows, 100 hectares of pasture, forage maize, catch crops, and grazing in the coastal area. We'll also discuss why they used a third robot dedicated to the heifers and how it streamlines the milking process. We're talking about feed rations, indicators, team management (apprentice + employee), and coexisting with rural tourism: shared paths, signage, and educational approaches. Aurore is showing us the farm shop: a diversification project born from Agricoli, a relay point → increased traffic → the opening of a true showcase for local food systems. 40 producers are listed, it's part of the Bienvenue à la Ferme network, Facebook is the main channel, and there's decor and regular events. The tours are educational and humorous: using "kindergarten → high school" metaphors, explaining things without jargon, and yes… the tours are paid (perceived value, better listening). In short: milking robots, pasture grazing, local food systems, rural tourism, and communication that bring farmers and consumers closer together. Tell me in the comments: are you team robots or team traditional milking parlor? Have you ever charged for your tours? I'm a "YouTuber," as they say. For those who don't know me yet, I'm Thierry Bailliet 😉 The son of a farmer, I took over the farm at the age of 23, and my passion for agriculture has developed and grown over the years. This passion, along with curiosity and a desire to see things through to the end, led me to explain my profession, beyond the clichés, with the creation of the YouTube channel "Agriculteur d'Aujourd'hui" (Farmer of Today) in 2013. Then came the writing of "In the Boots of Those Who Feed Us," a book intended to help a wider audience understand agriculture, or rather, the different types of agriculture. And now, I'm dedicated to rebuilding connections between citizens and farmers with the "In the Boots" platform, the Tinder or Airbnb of agriculture 😉 To learn more or follow me: 🌐 Website: https://agriculteurdaujourdhui.com/ 📲 App: https://danslesbottes.fr/ 📘 Book: "In the Boots of Those Who Feed Us": https://www.agriculteurdaujourdhui.co... 📀 Documentary: "In the Boots of Those Who Feed Us": https://www.agriculteurdaujourdhui.co...
