Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeyev)'s film tells the story of the Polish Orthodox Church, its tragic history, and its life today. We'll accompany him on a tour of Warsaw, visit Orthodox churches and monasteries across Poland, and meet with the Primate of the Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland. We'll learn about the monks' lives in the famous Jabłoczyna Monastery, a stronghold of Orthodoxy in the Chelm region. We'll also learn about the traditions of Mount Grabarka, the site of numerous annual pilgrimages by Orthodox Christians to mark the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. We'll also learn how the history of the Polish state has impacted the lives of Orthodox Christians.
