Loreto Convent, Youghal - End of an Era 1862 - 2006

The Loreto Convent Youghal closed down in 2006. The photos seen here captured the final days before the gates were closed for good. Events covered are the Loreto Building itself, the last staff and students, the final hockey game at Green Hole Beach which is directly across the road from Loreto, between past pupils and the last Loreto ball at the Walter Raleigh Hotel.
