"Hope" Music Video

Balancing the reality with the dreamworld, the hope with the fear, this music video captures that beautiful moment hovering between innocence and experience. Fort Albany Youth on the cusp of the future that they create. This music video was created in Fort Albany First Nation, a remote northern community in Canada, in partnership with Healing Through Music and Choose Life. Migwetch to Fort Albany’s recording engineer and trailblazer Jeremiah Otis for his leadership and unwavering advocacy. The last three years, Artscan Circle has been working with Jeremiah, putting on music video workshops in Fort Albany. Jeremiah’s Healing Through Music has come into its own, and is now a community-inspired and artist-driven, local phenomenon. Migwetch to Indigenous filmmaker Lyndsay Sarazin for his mentorship, creating this music video. Lindsay has travelled to Fort Albany and Pikangikum to facilitate Artscan Circle filmmaking events. Both artists are super talented and have big hearts, and of course, the stars of the show, the Fort Albany Youth!
